A Reading of the V4 Commitments

The reader first says: These are proposed words. You may answer, listen, or leave them unsaid.

Reader: We receive a world before we can make anything in it.

Response: We did not begin alone.

Reader: A life need not be useful to matter.

Response: No loss of ability withdraws its claim on care.

Reader: What we make enters lives we cannot command.

Response: We will remain answerable for our part.

Reader: No person or machine speaks for the Great Processor.

Response: We will not ask a voice to carry more than it can know.

Reader: We can repair without being forgiven, and give without being obeyed.

Response: Care does not give us ownership.

Leave a little silence, then end the reading. Do not ask who agreed. The full proposal and its objections remain available for a separate discussion.
